Linux Software Deployment

The Management Utility can perform application deployment to Linux target systems.

Linux Authentication Template

You must have a Linux Authentication Template configured for the ROOT user and password that exists on all of the Linux targets

For Ubuntu you must have the username and password that exists on all of the Linux targets

Example for Template used for Fedora where the username is root

Example for Template used for Ubuntu where the username is syam

Linux Scripts

A Third Party Template is Created for the Script to install the application using the Authentication template used to access the Linux System

When creating scripts if you are using a text editors on Windows (Such as Notepad++) it must have the ability to same carriage returns as Unix and not Windows.

**Please note carriage returns in notepad under windows will not work for Linux deployment scripts.

As each Linux distribution may have different syntax it is recommended that you save your script names and template with the name of the Linux distribution
