Erase

This procedure initiates the erase and reset operation on the device. This will delete all the information and files on the device and return it to its original settings. You can use this to safely remove a device that is missing, taken, or obsolete. It will release the licenses used on the managed apps previously installed on the device.

To initiate a erase communication with one or more devices, select them from the list and press the Erase button on the header bar.
