VPP Password Changed - Replacing the VPP Token


If you change the password for the Apple ID used for the VPP Token you will need to replace the VPP token.



If your VPP token no longer shows a license count and provides the message that the VPP token is being managed by another application the Apple ID used for the VPP token has been changed.




To resolve this error log into your Apple School Manager / Business Manager Account and download the token for the relevant location from Apple School Manager or Apple Business 


Click on your user name on the lower left and select Preferences 


Click on Payments and Billing from the middle menu


Scroll down the left page and Click on the location to download the VPP tokens

Now log into the SyAM MDM,  click on Administration -  VPP/ASM/ABM


Click on View, then click on the ... to edit the VPP token information


Select Choose File and browse to where you saves the token.


Then press Save



 


The new token will replace the old expiring token and will now sync with Apple - the new Token will present the new expiry date which is 12 months from the date of creation.
